Shoulder

Shoulder Surgeon Clinton Township, MI

The shoulder joint has a greater range of motion than any other part of the body, which is one of the reasons why it is more vulnerable to injury.  Shoulder pain, deep aching, weakness, loss of movement, stiffness, and swelling can cause people with shoulder arthritis or injury to awaken at night and limit their activities during the day.  If your shoulder "grinds" or "catches", causes pain, and prevents you from performing simple day-to-day activities, it's time for you to find out how the latest advances in orthopedic shoulder surgery can help you reclaim your life.  Dr. Michael Wind is a caring board certified, fellowship trained shoulder surgeon in Clinton Township, Michigan who offers technically advanced and minimally invasive shoulder surgeries, including Reverse Shoulder Replacement, Shoulder Arthroscopy, and Total Shoulder Joint Replacement.  Request an appointment online or call (586) 469-8300 to schedule your preferred appointment with Dr. Michael F. Wind, Board Certified Orthopaedic Shoulder Surgeon in Clinton Township, Michigan.

About Reverse Shoulder Replacement

People with complex shoulder conditions, such as arthritis, rotator cuff tear, or vascular damage may be candidates for an advanced shoulder surgery called Reverse Shoulder Replacement.  Unlike traditional shoulder replacement surgery (shoulder arthroplasty), the artificial joint implants are placed in reversed position to allow the deltoid muscle at the shoulder to raise the arm.  The new shoulder joint stabilizes the joint to allow pain-free movement and function.  Learn more about Reverse Shoulder Replacement in our Patient Education Library.
